So, Whats Inside the Course?
This 7 day course is packed full of everything you need to be able to start playing guitar with confidence.
I have been teaching for over 10 years and in that time I have learnt a thing or two about how people think and learn. Using this knowledge and experience, I have crafted a short course that I think will deliver you everything you need to start becoming a guitar player right away.
Day 1 - Getting Set Up For Success
This is where we start the journey. We need to get you inspired and in the mindset to succeed.
In this lesson we're going to learn how to hold and tune your guitar and we're going to discuss the function of some of the main parts of the guitar.
We're also going to get your fingers moving and start equipping you with the correct technique for success.
Day 2 - Your First Chord
In this lesson we're going to learn our very first chord.
This is where we start to take the basics, and make them sound musical. Once we know that chord, we're going to get things moving with some simple strumming.
Day 3- Your Second Chord and Changing Chords
On day 3 we're going to start taking it further and add a second chord.
Now it's time to start getting our fingers used to the task of moving from one chord to another while we start to think about rhythm.
Day 4 - Rhythm and Strumming
Now that you can switch between 2 chords, it's time to turn the attention on the strumming hand and get that moving and grooving.
We're going to focus on rhythms and understand why they are a vital part of guitar playing.
Day 5 - Your Third Chord and Learning Some Songs
On day 5 we're going to add a third chord to the mix and also learn 2 classic songs that use the three chords you already know.
We'll be putting all out of rhythm and finger movement skills to the test in this session.
Day 6 - Single String Riffs
Time to start riffing by playing some classic single string guitar riffs and focusing on picking accuracy as we try to hit only one string at a time.
This is also where we double down and really focus on the coordination between our two hands.
Day 7 - Mindset, Practice and the Next Steps
At the end of the week we're going to recap, re-evaluate and then plan the next steps.
By the end of this week of lessons you'll be ready to start moving into the world of playing guitar with confidence and excitement.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need any experience?
No, none at all! This course is designed for absolute beginners. This short course will set you up with everything you need to play guitar with confidence.
How much time do I need each day?
All you need to realistically commit is 15-20 minutes per day to see results. If you can do more then you will benefit faster, however this course is designed to give you the perfect kickstart to your journey with minimal time commitment.
Will this work for acoustic and electric guitar?
Yes, absolutely! Both guitar types, although different, are very much transferrable in terms of skillset. Anything you learn in this course will be useful for both.
What happens after the 7 days?
Firstly, you will be feeling very confident in your guitar journey and playing some simple things, which in itself is a fantastic acheivement.
Secondly, you will be invited to join my full guitar course (If you watch the course until the end you may even get a special discount...). Many students that take this kickstarter program decide to join the full Right Notes Music Tuition community to take their playing to the next level.
